You are unable to use the R53 flywheel bolts with this flywheel when fitting this product. Please note: When fitting this Flywheel to a Mini R53 you will need Mini R50 flywheel bolts. When fitting this Flywheel to a Mini R53 you will need Mini R50 flywheel bolts. Please see our performance clutch kits and drive plates for a solution. When fitting you will also need to uprate the clutch drive plate to a sprung version.
#TTV FLYWHEEL UPGRADE#
Dynamically balanced to eliminate vibration and featuring integral teeth, this is a perfect upgrade that will suit the standard diameter clutch. The standard flywheel on a Cooper S is 12kgs this TTV flywheel is 5.6kgs and is manufactured from lightweight billet steel. This is due to their being a 1.5mm difference in offset from the. When sandwiching the entire assembly of TTV Flywheel, FX400 Disk and CM Pressure Plate, there is an evident 1.5mm gap where one would typically expect a clutch and PP mounting point to be relatively flush.

#TTV FLYWHEEL MANUAL#
The TTV flywheel only fits Cooper S variant MINIs with a manual gearbox. We've measured & checked numerous times, but I wouldn't mind some input. The result of all of this is a MINI that feels and responds much quicker without having to change any other performance parts. This lets the engine rev faster thereby improving the response throughout the rev range. Replacing the standard flywheel for a lightened one reduces the rotational mass of the engine. The TTV lightened single mass flywheel replaces the original dual-mass Cooper S flywheel.
